Class Policies and FAQs
There are no prerequisites for the Improv Level 1, Improv for Anyone, Sketch Level 1, and Stand-Up Level 1 Classes. Improv for Actors requires students have professional acting training or the equivalent amount of experience, a theater degree, or be enrolled in a college theater program.
Registration is Non-Refundable
Please be sure about your schedule before you register for class. Here’s why….
Your enrollment HOLDS A SPACE in a class that we are no longer able to offer someone else. Your enrollment in the class will not be guaranteed until payment is received.
Class payments are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, and can be applied only to the current term’s class for which you have signed up. This applies if you get cast in a show, get a new job, or other situation, or have other changes to your schedule. So please be sure about your schedule before you register.
If a Class is Re-scheduled or Cancelled: It's rare, but in the event that we must reschedule a class, enrolled students will be notified by either email or phone, or both. In the event of a cancelled class session, a full refund will be given.
Students are expected to arrive on time and stay for the entire class period. Students are expected to be courteous to classmates and instructors. Disturbances such as tardiness, cell phone use, inappropriate comments, and lewd or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Highwire Comedy Co. reserves the right to ask disruptive students to leave or revoke their registration.
If you require any special accommodations please speak to the instructor before class.
In order to progress to the next level of class, you may miss no more than 2 classes. If a student misses more than 2 classes, then that student may be asked not to participate in the class show (at the discretion of the instructor) and must retake the class in order to move to the next level. A student may be asked to repeat a class at the discretion of the instructor.
